Tomorrow is the 2nd to last day of the Giro D’Italia, the world’s second most famous bike race. Last year’s Tour De France champion Alberto Contador is clinging to a 4 second lead over Ricco and Di Luca as the strong men prepare for tomorrow’s showdown. If you’ve never climbed a true mountain on a bicycle you have no idea what athletic suffering is about. The Figurehead has done alot of different things athletically and climbing on a bike is among the most painful and personal experiences. Stage 20 will take the riders over 3 of the most famous climbs in all of cycling: Passo Gavia, Passo del Mortirolo, and the Aprica. One things for certain - there will be pain and suffering.
There will be more pain and suffering on Sunday evening when Uriah Faber and Jens Pulver meet for the WEC Featherweight Title.
Not sure which of these I’m looking forward to more!
